On June 6, Panchkhal Agro Group, through its brand Galaxy Seed, delivered the first batch of 45,000 G-9 banana plants to Chitwan, Nepal. Sourced directly from Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd., India—a global leader in agricultural biotechnology—these plants mark a new era for commercial banana farming in Nepal.

This milestone, achieved under the Prime Minister Agricultural Modernisation Project (PMAMP), brings reliable, high-yield varieties to Nepali farmers—starting with one of the world’s most successful commercial bananas: G-9.
